All Dolled Up Team Meeting discusses customer improvement programs! Are you tired of stylists who don't respect your time? Are you tired of long waits? These tips will help you see if your salon is,
" On Point!"#1 Tip :Your Time is Money!
Is your stylist on time for your appointments?
Time is money! If your stylist doesn't respect your time you could be in for a long bad stylist/client relationships. Stylists who have poor time management usually have high wait times, become frustrated while working under those pressures, and usually has other poor work ethics! We've seen anything from; leaving clients under the dryer while the stylist goes and picks up dry cleaners or leaving to go get an oil change! This is unacceptable!
Solution: Find a salon that respects your time! You should arrive 15 minutes before any appointment. You shouldn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes after your appointment time to be seen in most professional establishments. Don't sell yourself for cheap!
Tip # 2 Prepare for War
Tackling hair issues is no joke. Does your stylist have the necessary tools to perform your services. Does your stylists run around looking for the components of your look or is he/she prepared! Sanitation is important. A messy and unprepared stylists normally doesn't practice sanitation prep anyways!
Solution: Find a salon that is clean and stylists are prepared for you individual service. You shouldn't sit in the last clients mess! This will also lower your risk to any unsanitary conditions that could arise in a salon
Tip #3
ADU loves the Kids!!
Ever been in a salon where kids run around and play while you are trying to relax and enjoy your service. If you are spending big bucks you deserve the relaxation you are paying for. Most salons should have a "no children policy". This type of policy will save you a lot of in salon headaches.
Solution: Inquire ahead about children policies! And don't get offended if you have children. Most salons allow them to schedule appointments also.
Tip #4 Cheap prices or cheap products!
Most quality salons spend big bucks to secure healthy products for their clients. This is usually translated into the price you spend for your services. When bargain shopping, beware that some salons that offer cheap prices usually use low quality store bought products. The main ingredients usually contain harsh chemicals and come with damaging consequences. Don't be fooled by the bottle, some salons replace the products with low quality ingredients to cut cost.
Solution: Ask about the products! If you can buy it in the stores, what makes the salon experience any different? You should be able to feel a difference. Most top salons let customers feel and even smell the products used in the backbar or shampoo bowl! Remember you pay for what you get! Look for signs that display quality brands!

Tip # 5 Ghetto Shop Alert
You ever been in a salon where there's gossip and you can't even hear yourself "think"! This means they probably will talk about you! Check the noise levels in a salon. You should be able to relax and enjoy your service with your stylist. Your conversation with your stylist is the most important part in getting the job done right! If you are distracted, your stylist is probably also. Most top salons keep the noise levels low! This complements the music and ambience!
Solution:
Look for a salon with an inviting atmosphere. Call on a Fri or Sat and listen to the background. Drive by and see if the salon has loitering or disorganized activity outside. Normally in ghetto shops, you will hear yelling, profanity, laughing, tv's, cellphones, and etc... Most quality salons have waiting room policies, no cellphone policies, no children, and other policies to insure your visit is a pleasant one. Most quality salons place there policies on web pages or you can call!
